Do you take insurance?
Fortitude does not take insurance. We are exclusively a out-of-network private pay provider. Payment is accepted via cash, card, HSA, or digital payment apps. Packages may be paid in installments to lessen any financial burdens.
Can my insurance reimburse me?
Provided you have out-of-network benefits and have met your deductible, your insurance may reimburse you for covered expenses. We can provide you with a superbill to give to your insurance company to request reimbursement, but we cannot guarantee any reimbursement. A good resource for understanding healthcare costs is FairHealthConsumer.org, which provides location-specific costs for individual units of care. Make your way to therapeutic services and physical therapy to see prices per 15-minute unit. Most outpatient clinics will primarily bill for the manual therapy, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercise codes.
How much will it cost?
Prices are dependent on packages chosen and how you and I decide to create your program together. Every program is completely personalized to your needs. Please click here to set up a free 30 minute phone call to discuss how we can help you achieve your goals, along with our pricing structure.
Do I need to see a doctor to see you?
It depends. If you are seeing Fortitude on a performance or wellness basis, you will not need to do anything with your doctor. You also do not need to see a doctor to be evaluated by a physical therapist. PTs in Alabama must have a plan of care signed off by a doctor, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dentist, or chiropractor prior to administering treatment. Your doctor or NP may want to see you prior to signing off on this plan of care, but this is not guaranteed and he/she will determine this need. Many doctor's offices have transitioned to using telehealth for these types of exchanges at your request, so you may not need to make a trip at all! Contacting your provider and obtaining a referral prior to the initial evaluation would allow for the easiest sign-off of a plan of care.
Can you train me for my sport?
Yes! As a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, I am well qualified to address your unique needs as an athlete at any level of competition. I also offer injury prevention camps that can be tailored to individual needs as well as performed in a group setting. Group rates are significantly discounted!
